They Did The Monster Mash! AHP’s First Annual Halloween Costume Contest

The AHP team celebrated Halloween this year by holding its first annual Employee Halloween Costume contest. There were many great costumes and while many on the team displayed their creativity and resourcefulness, the top three costumes were rewarded with cash prizes. After a round of voting, Senior Litigation Specialist Christal Tarver was selected for the best costume as she transformed herself into Nikki Minaj for the day.

Social impact writer Peter Kelly was voted as the second place winner for his zampire costume, a combination of a zombie and a vampire. Though Kelly modeled the costume, he deferred all the credit to AHP’s Marketing Manager Laura Sorg. Sorg designed the costume and showed off her make-up artistry skills in spawning a colorful and award winning zampire.

Coming in third place was Business Development Manager Aaron Olson, who dressed as Castiel from the TV series “Supernatural”. Olson was very resourceful in designing his costume as he used cardboard, coffee filters and spray paint to create an impressive pair of angel wings.

Though not selected as a prize-winner, there is certainly one costume that warranted at the very least an honorable mention. Senior Asset Manager Jake Laffey, who has been with AHP for more than two years, entered the contest as AHP Founder and CEO Jorge Newbery. In a side-by-side photo of Laffey and Newbery, it was almost hard to tell who was who. Check out our slideshow below to see the AHP ghouls in action.
